Eight Arab States Condemn Israel for Delaying Trump Peace Plan in Gaza

A joint statement from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, and Turkey criticized Israel for delaying peace efforts in Gaza and the Palestinian territories. The countries warned that Israel's rejection of U.S. President Donald Trump's peace initiative could undermine efforts to end the conflict. Concurrently, Jerusalem is preparing for a sensitive meeting with Jared Kushner, Trump's envoy and son-in-law, aimed at advancing the American plan to end the fighting in Gaza.

Earlier reports indicated that Kushner met with representatives from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey in Cairo to promote the next phase of the Gaza plan. According to Al Arabiya, Hamas representatives attended some of the meetings alongside mediators and UN envoy Nikolay Mladenov. A senior Israeli official said Kushner and Mladenov are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the following day. The official expressed Israeli concerns over Washington's demand to halt targeted assassinations of Hamas militants, while Hamas continues to rebuild.

Separately, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya met with Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad. Hamas reportedly provided a detailed briefing on conditions in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israeli prisons, condemning Israeli policies as dangerously destructive and calling for regional and international attention. The delegation also reviewed political developments and daily Israeli violations in the West Bank and Gaza, including Israel's denial of the ceasefire agreement, Trump's peace plan, and his roadmap declaration.
