Jerusalem’s 'Netivei Noam' School Revamps to Boost Teens’ Confidence and Success
The 'Netivei Noam' educational institution in Jerusalem, part of the "Magen Avraham" network led by Rabbi Chaim Parkel, is preparing for the upcoming school year with significant upgrades. Catering to ultra-Orthodox youth aged 11 to 18, the school offers a day framework without boarding, allowing students to benefit from a supportive and therapeutic environment while maintaining strong family ties at home.
The school has renovated and expanded its facilities to create spacious, inviting learning areas that enhance the educational experience. The staff has been significantly strengthened, combining educators with therapy and counseling experts to develop personalized advancement plans for each student. The curriculum includes both religious and general studies, featuring a specialized, tiered Talmud program that enables students to progress at their own pace and experience real academic success.
Beyond academics, 'Netivei Noam' offers a rich variety of extracurricular activities such as a culinary campus (cooking and baking), animal care and dog training, sports including soccer, and art workshops. These programs aim to build life skills, self-confidence, and joy in achievement. Rabbi Nachman Duvdevani, the school’s director, emphasized the importance of recognizing and nurturing each student's inner strengths to foster genuine growth.
Enrollment for the new school year is underway, with limited spots remaining. Admission is managed through a local eligibility and profiling committee based on specific criteria, ensuring the school’s tailored approach suits each student’s needs. This renewed framework seeks to provide a warm, empowering, and professional educational setting that truly sees and supports every teenager.
