Attorney Elishiv Rabin Runs Independently for Likud in Dan-Tel Aviv District with Broad Haredi Support

Elishiv Rabin, chairman of the Likud branch in Bnei Brak, is running as an independent candidate in the Dan-Tel Aviv district ahead of the party's internal elections scheduled for next Monday. His candidacy is backed by a coalition that unites thousands of members from the "Kisei Rahamim" yeshiva institutions, led by Rabbi Tzemach Mazuz, alongside senior activists from the Shas movement in the central region. This alliance stems partly from Rabin's deep familiarity with the Shas system during his tenure as secretary of the Shas faction in the Knesset, as well as his family ties to the Sephardic Torah world, being a member of the Rabin family and nephew of Rabbi Avraham Salim, head of the "Maor HaTorah" yeshiva and a member of the Council of Torah Sages.

This collaboration recalls the local cooperation that previously enabled Rabin's breakthrough victory in the Likud branch leadership race in Bnei Brak, now expanding to a broader arena that includes Bnei Brak, Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, and Petah Tikva. Rabin emphasized his long-standing commitment to recruiting members to Likud based on shared values and belief in the party's power to shape Israeli society's future. He stated, "I embark on this path with many years of public service experience and a toolbox acquired over my years of activity, led by values of loyalty and reliability. I seek to be your voice, representing you faithfully and working for our shared path and values."

Rabin called on voters to support him in the August 17 primary, aiming to strengthen the movement and participate in shaping its future.
