Moti Krispil Expects New Coach by Monday After Tiberias Defeat in Toto Cup

A week before the Israeli Premier League season begins, several Toto Cup ranking matches took place on Saturday evening. Among the results, Ironi Tiberias suffered a 3-0 loss to Maccabi Petah Tikva, while Bnei Sakhnin secured a 1-0 victory over Hapoel Petah Tikva.

Moti Krispil, the interim coach of Ironi Tiberias, expressed disappointment following the defeat. He noted that the players performed poorly in the second half and conceded easy goals. Krispil emphasized the need to strengthen the squad and prepare thoroughly for the league, stating, "If I sit and cry over the roster, it won't help me. We will try to improve and come ready for the league." He added that he expects a permanent coach to join the team by Monday to work alongside him.

Despite the loss, Krispil remained optimistic about the club's resilience, saying, "The club has proven it does not break down and knows how to rise from difficult situations. We will do that again this year."

On the other hand, Ziv Arie, coach of Bnei Sakhnin, reflected on his team's performance, admitting the first half was their weakest so far but praising their improved attitude and tactical adjustments in the second half. Forward Liran Hazan celebrated scoring and the team's second consecutive win, highlighting the confidence it brings ahead of the league kickoff. He praised the coaching staff and stressed the importance of continuous improvement and hard work.

The Toto Cup matches served as a final preparation stage for the teams before the league season starts next week.
