Former Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg Joins New Arab-Jewish Party Ahead of Elections

Avraham Burg, former Knesset Speaker and head of the Jewish Agency, is making a surprising return to Israeli politics by joining the new Arab-Jewish party "Makom LeKulanu" (A Place for All of Us). Burg will run on the party's list in the upcoming Knesset elections. The party is set to officially confirm his membership and announce the move on Saturday night, marking a significant boost for the new political group that aims to promote Jewish-Arab partnership as an alternative political platform.

Burg previously served as a Labor Party Knesset member and led both the party and the 15th Knesset. In recent years, he distanced himself from mainstream politics and adopted radical left-wing positions.
