Swiss Club Lugano Arrives in Peak Form Ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv Conference League Playoff

Lugano, the Swiss football club, is entering its Conference League playoff clash against Maccabi Tel Aviv in excellent form. The team has started the Swiss league season with three consecutive wins, currently leading the table. After a historic championship win by Thun last year, Lugano is ambitiously aiming for its first league title since 1949. The team is managed by 44-year-old coach Mattia Croci-Torti, who rose from Switzerland's lower leagues to lead Lugano since 2021. In the third round, Lugano faced NSÍ Runavík from the Faroe Islands, securing a 2-0 home win and a dramatic 2-2 away draw, with Brollans scoring a crucial goal in the 80th minute to ensure a 4-2 aggregate victory.
