French Low-Cost Airline Transavia Advances Return to Israel Flights to Late August

French low-cost airline Transavia France, part of the Air France-KLM group, has announced it will resume flights to Israel earlier than planned. Initially scheduled to restart service at Ben Gurion Airport on September 8, the airline will now recommence its direct route between Tel Aviv and Paris Orly Airport on August 31. Two additional routes to Marseille and Lyon will resume as planned on September 8. Transavia plans to operate 12 weekly flights on its main Paris route, with two daily flights Monday through Friday and one flight each on Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices for one-way flights to Paris in September start at 58 euros, though availability is limited due to high demand.

This announcement follows a period of instability when Transavia canceled all flights to Israel for the summer season in June due to ongoing security concerns. The decision to advance the return aligns with a broader positive trend among major foreign airlines, including American carriers Delta and United, which are also restoring and expanding their operations at Ben Gurion Airport ahead of the Jewish High Holidays.
