Tayibe Driver Caught Driving While Banned for Seventh Time on Route 60

A 54-year-old driver from Tayibe was apprehended on Route 60 in northern Israel for driving while under a court-imposed ban, marking his seventh offense. The vehicle he was driving was also under a usage prohibition due to safety defects. The arrest occurred during a routine traffic enforcement operation by the National Traffic Police in the Emek region, part of the "Committed to Life" campaign by the Traffic Department and the National Road Safety Authority.

Following his arrest, the driver was interrogated by traffic examiners and subsequently detained. The court approved the police's request to keep him in custody until the legal proceedings conclude, citing his repeated violations of judicial rulings and the significant danger he poses to other road users. The vehicle was impounded at the scene.
