Israeli Police Come Under Fire During Illegal Weapons Search in Ein Sahala

On August 13, Israeli police conducting an operation to locate illegal weapons in the open area of Ein Sahala encountered gunfire directed at them. Officers from the Iron Station and tactical brigade units arrived at the site to carry out the search when shots were fired. Body camera footage captured officers shouting warnings such as "Gunfire! Gunfire!", "Take cover," and "We are exchanging fire." One officer directed his team to move closer amid the shooting, while others called for full protective gear and emergency medical support. The police reported no injuries during the incident.

Following the exchange, a suspect was arrested and transferred for interrogation at the Central Unit of the Menashe district. Weapons were found at the scene and seized for further investigation. The suspect's detention was extended by court order as the inquiry continues. The police emphasized the operational risks involved in combating illegal arms possession in the region.
