Israeli Wineries Launch Affordable New Wines for Rosh Hashanah Holiday

Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, several Israeli wineries including Recanati, Shaked, Tura, Carmel, and Jaffa have introduced new wine selections at relatively accessible prices. This launch aims to accommodate consumers amid rising living costs while offering festive options for the holiday season.

Recanati Winery unveiled its Petit Sirah from the Jezreel Valley priced at 119 shekels, alongside a Chardonnay from the Galilee vineyards with citrus aromas at 69 shekels. Carmel Winery presented a Cabernet Sauvignon from its Selected series, a dry red wine made from 2025 vintage grapes, aged 3-6 months in stainless steel tanks, retailing at 37.90 shekels.

Shaked company recommends a special package featuring a kosher Blue Nun Original white wine paired with a portable karaoke set, priced at 120 shekels. Blue Nun is a globally recognized brand sold in over 100 countries and also produced in a kosher version.

Jaffa Winery offers three wines from the Judean Hills priced under 100 shekels each: 2024 Subaz Carignan, 2023 Homage Merlot, and 2023 Heritage White. These wines are distributed by Enoteca, the import and marketing arm of George Henaoui beverage group, and available at WINE&MORE stores.

The Yoetzer Winery introduced its Sketch Gewürztraminer, a semi-dry white wine priced at 50 shekels per bottle or three for 120 shekels. This wine features a light yellow color with greenish hints and citrus blossom aromas. The Gewürztraminer vineyard was planted in 2016 in Ramat Sirin, east of Kfar Tavor in the Galilee region.

These launches reflect a diverse range of quality wines at various price points to suit holiday celebrations across Israel.
