Netanyahu's 'Spontaneous' Jerusalem Mall Visit Revealed as Pre-Planned Event

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Malha Mall in Jerusalem in an event presented as spontaneous, during which he interacted warmly with passersby and posted a video showing supporters cheering for him. However, a notable detail in the footage revealed that all individuals near Netanyahu wore identical black wristbands, suggesting the crowd was pre-selected rather than random. In the video, Netanyahu greets people, poses for photos, and speaks to the camera, highlighting the diversity of attendees including mothers, children, Arabs, Jews, and disabled veterans.

The presence of the matching wristbands raises questions about the authenticity of the encounter and whether the event was genuinely impromptu or orchestrated. Neither the Prime Minister's office nor the Likud party responded to inquiries about the wristbands or the event's organization. Opposition MK Merav Ben Ari from Yesh Atid criticized the event, calling it "one big fake" and accusing Netanyahu of selecting and marking the audience to stage the meeting. She expressed a desire to see Netanyahu engage with people holding opposing views.
