Israeli Caterer Ravivit Meborach Shares Her Journey From Addiction to Culinary Success

Ravivit Meborach, owner of the popular Israeli catering company LEV, has become a favorite among celebrities like Noa Kirel and Liran Kohener. Despite her current success, Meborach’s life story includes a long battle with eating disorders and drug addiction. Raised in a troubled Jerusalem neighborhood, she struggled with anorexia and bulimia from age 11, which led to hospitalization at 18. During this dark period, she also became addicted to drugs including heroin, introduced to her by a drug dealer who exploited her vulnerability.

After years of addiction and personal trauma, including sexual assault, Meborach reached a turning point and entered a rehabilitation program. She credits forgiveness and emotional healing as key to her recovery. Post-rehab, she rebuilt her life, married, and had two children who are now serving in the Israeli military. She later divorced and pursued a career in marketing before fully transitioning to the culinary world.

Meborach started cooking homemade food for friends and selling brunch boxes during the COVID-19 pandemic, which quickly grew into a thriving business with seven employees. LEV combines food, table design, and community hosting in a space at Tel Aviv’s Levinsky Market. She uses her marketing expertise to promote her brand and maintain a structured social media presence.

Today, Meborach lives in central Tel Aviv with her second husband, a father of five, and together they have built a large blended family. She openly shares her past struggles with her children and embraces her history as part of her identity. While she remains vigilant about her eating disorder, she describes herself as a "clean addict" with lingering emotional scars.
