Channel 14 Launches Summer Zoom Program 'Young Reporters' for Kids Aged 8-14
Channel 14 is offering a summer program called "Young Reporters" designed to introduce children aged 8 to 14 to the world of television and media. The program runs from August 23 to August 27, with daily Zoom sessions from 16:30 to 18:00, culminating in a celebratory final meeting at Channel 14's studios in Modi'in on August 28. For a fee of 100 shekels, participants engage in five interactive sessions that teach skills such as presenting on camera, conducting interviews, preparing reports, and creating engaging content, all tailored to their age group.
The program emphasizes hands-on experience, creativity, and building confidence in front of the camera. Each Zoom session focuses on a different aspect of media work, allowing children to gradually develop their abilities from camera presence to content creation. The initiative aims to help children discover new talents and develop communication skills, including expression, questioning, public speaking, creativity, and teamwork.
By participating from home, children gain practical exposure to the media industry in a fun and educational environment. The program encourages young participants to explore the field of journalism and television production early on, fostering their interest and skills in media.
