US, Israel, Syria, and IAEA Agree to Neutralize Secret Syrian Nuclear Site

The United States has reached an agreement with Israel, Syria, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to neutralize a secret nuclear site in Syria. Israel had threatened to bomb the facility if nuclear material was not removed. The IAEA will soon begin the process of extracting the nuclear material from Syria.

Following the agreement, Syrian authorities emphasized their ongoing transparent and close cooperation with the IAEA, the US, and allied countries to address the legacy of the previous regime. The Syrian Atomic Energy Authority announced that Damascus will host an IAEA delegation in the coming days, during which a joint statement on significant progress in this area will be issued.

In a related security incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that three Israeli civilians crossed into Syrian territory near Mount Hermon overnight. The IDF returned them to Israel, where they were detained by Israeli police for further investigation. The military condemned the incident as a serious disruption to operational activities and a threat to the safety of its forces, calling for law enforcement to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Additional regional developments include a report from Iran that Esmail Qaani, commander of the Quds Force in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, visited Baghdad and met with leaders of pro-Iranian militias in Iraq. Separately, a Washington Post report revealed that last month, US President Donald Trump was extracted from Turkey in a covert intelligence operation using Air Force One as a decoy, prompted by an immediate assassination threat from Iran.
