Syria Claims Attack on IDF Forces in Golan, Israel Sees No Launches

A jihadist group in Syria claimed it launched a rocket and an explosive drone at Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops in southern Golan Heights. However, the IDF reported no detection of such launches but is investigating the claims. Concurrently, Syrian sources reported Israeli military activity near Al-Quneitra, specifically mentioning an Israeli incursion into the Tal Abu Qabis area in southern Al-Quneitra countryside and a large explosion in the eastern town of Zotar. The IDF stated that its forces did not exceed the security zone they control and that their operations aim to prevent terrorist enclaves from establishing in the area.

In response to the situation, Israeli Foreign Minister Sa'ar issued a strong statement on social media accusing Turkey of hypocrisy and violating regional sovereignty. He criticized Turkish Foreign Minister Kaan Fidan for blaming Israel for destabilizing Syria, arguing that Israel is taking minimal necessary measures to protect its citizens from attacks, while Turkey has long violated Syrian sovereignty and hypocritically lectures others on international law.
