Mother and Infant Rescued from Burning Three-Story Home in Tamra

A fire broke out in a three-story residential building in Tamra, northern Israel, with the blaze originating on the first floor. A mother and her infant, who were on the upper floors, were trapped but successfully rescued by firefighters. Four firefighting teams from the Galil Merkaz station responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they quickly identified the fire's source and simultaneously received information about the trapped mother and child above. Fire Chief Eyad Hanifes stated that the firefighters worked swiftly to control the fire and prevent smoke and flames from spreading upward, enabling the safe evacuation of the mother and infant. Both were transferred to medical personnel on site for treatment. The incident highlights the rapid response and coordination of the firefighting teams in a potentially deadly situation.
