Deputy Mayor of Rishon Lezion Released to House Arrest Over Sexual Offense Allegations

The Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion has released the city's deputy mayor to a two-day house arrest, imposing additional restrictions including a 30-day ban from the municipality, a prohibition on contacting the complainant, and no communication with other individuals involved in the case. The deputy mayor faces allegations of sodomy and indecent acts against a municipal secretary that reportedly occurred several years ago. His defense attorneys, Nir Zano and Shlomzion Gabay Mendelman, requested his release without house arrest, arguing that the detention has severely impacted him and his family and emphasizing that the alleged incident dates back five years.
