New Israel Fund Channels Over $1 Million to Boost Arab Voter Turnout Ahead of 2026 Elections

As Israel prepares for the 2026 elections, the New Israel Fund (NIF) has intensified efforts to encourage voter participation among Arab citizens and other minority groups. The NIF transferred over one million shekels to the organization "Kadaiya," which focuses exclusively on increasing voter turnout in the Arab sector. Additional funds were allocated to various groups promoting voting, including $30,000 to Kadaiya's youth movement, $200,000 to the organization "Bimkom," $80,000 to "Zazim," and $400,000 to "Agik."

The NIF also directed $100,000 to "Our Israel," an organization working with immigrants from Ukraine who arrived in recent years. These financial moves come alongside other left-wing preparations such as organizing flights and academic conferences on election day. Gilad Ach, chairman of the "Ad Kan" organization, urged Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg, head of the Elections Committee, to intervene and prevent what he described as foreign interference by the American-based NIF, which raises funds from Jews in the United States.

In response, the New Israel Fund stated it is committed to enabling every citizen to exercise their democratic right to vote and run for office, and that it will continue its efforts to support this goal.
