Donald Trump’s Ex-Wife Marla Maples Reveals He Carries Zohar for Protection and Healing
Marla Maples, former wife of U.S. President Donald Trump, disclosed in an interview with Channel 12 News that Trump carries a copy of the Zohar, a foundational Kabbalistic text, for protection and healing. She explained that he keeps the Aramaic text, known as the Book of Pinchas, close to his heart. Maples described Trump as having a very big heart and said his desire to help others motivated his presidential run.
Maples also shared her personal spiritual journey and connection to Judaism and Israel. Although a Christian, she developed a deep interest in Kabbalah and has visited Israel multiple times, including spiritual visits to graves of righteous figures and spending time in Safed, as well as recreational activities like water skiing in the Sea of Galilee. She has kept kosher for over 20 years and observes Shabbat, noting that Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism, which exposed Donald Trump to Jewish traditions.
Recalling a harrowing experience from about 20 years ago in Nigeria, Maples recounted being threatened at gunpoint during an attempted robbery. In that moment, she found strength by reciting the Shema prayer, which she credits with her safety. She emphasized the power of this prayer, which she recites every morning.
Maples also addressed rising antisemitism in the United States and the ongoing situation in Israel since October 7, expressing heartbreak and a commitment to prayer and sending light amid these challenges.
