Former Hapoel Tel Aviv Guard Patrick Beverley Nears Deal with French League's Boulazac

Patrick Beverley, the veteran guard who briefly played for Hapoel Tel Aviv two seasons ago, is in advanced negotiations with Boulazac, a mid-table team in France's top basketball league. Beverley, 38, recently completed a season with Greece's PAOK Thessaloniki, where he averaged 7.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists over eight regular-season games, and contributed 9.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in nine FIBA Europe Cup appearances, helping lead the team to the tournament final. Now a free agent, Beverley is seeking his next career step in Europe.

Boulazac previously hosted Amit Abo on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv last season and is reportedly eager to finalize a contract with Beverley. If signed, Beverley would follow in the footsteps of former NBA player Tony Snell, who played for Boulazac last season before moving to Cholet this summer.

Before his European tenure, Beverley had a distinguished NBA career, appearing in 666 regular-season games and earning a spot on the NBA All-Defensive First Team. He played for several prominent NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks.
