Pakistan Urges Muslim Unity Against Israel Following Saudi and Turkey Defense Pact

Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has called for Muslim countries to unite against Israel after signing a defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He described the pact as the "beginning of Islamic world unity" and indicated it could expand to include more nations. Pakistan does not recognize Israel and maintains no diplomatic relations, insisting it will not do so until a Palestinian-accepted resolution is reached. The country supports a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. In May, Asif also rejected the possibility of Pakistan joining the Abraham Accords, which normalize relations between Israel and several Arab states.
