Ukraine says drone strike hits Crimea chemical plant linked to Russian defense supply
Ukraine’s drone forces carried out a precision strike overnight on the Crimean Titan plant in northern Crimea, according to the Ukrainian military. The target was the Crimean Titan chemical complex in Armyansk, which the article says is a major supplier to Russia’s defense industry.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces, identified as USF, released official thermal-camera footage from unmanned aircraft showing the attack. The video reportedly captures the drones tracking and guiding onto the sensitive industrial site before a strong explosion damaged one of the main buildings and sent up a large plume of smoke.
The released material also includes post-strike battle damage assessment imagery. Those aerial images show the hit locations and smoke still rising from the facility after the attack.
According to the report, Crimean Titan produces materials considered critical for Russia’s military sector, including titanium dioxide used for protective coatings and camouflage technologies, as well as sulfuric acid, a basic input for making gunpowder, rocket fuel, and explosives.
