Israel Football Association Opens New Northern Excellence Center in Zevulun Regional Council
The Israel Football Association officially inaugurated a new national teams' training center on August 6, 2026, in the Zevulun Regional Council area. The opening ceremony was attended by Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar, IFA Chairman Shino Zohar, and the Israeli national team coaching staff led by Ran Ben Shimon.
The complex, located near the kibbutzim of Uscha and Kfar Maccabi, features two state-of-the-art training fields, one synthetic turf and one natural grass, along with locker rooms, coaches' rooms, meeting rooms, and treatment facilities. Nearby, within walking distance, there will be a sports hall, lecture rooms, and a cafeteria.
Designed as the professional hub for football players in northern Israel, the center aims to establish a clear pathway, methodology, and style for developing young football talent. Beyond advancing northern sports teams, the facility will promote inclusion, tolerance, and excellence through sports, welcoming diverse populations from the region.
