Israeli Defense Minister Katz Holds Emergency Meeting on Drone Threats Within Israel

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday to address the growing threat posed by drones operating within Israeli territory. The session included key figures such as National Security Chief Shmuel Ben Ezra, retired Brigadier General Dr. Danny Gold from the Ministry of Defense's Weapons Development and Technological Infrastructure Directorate, IDF representatives, and other senior defense officials.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the current situation regarding drone threats inside Israel and discussed various operational alternatives, technological solutions, and regulatory tools aimed at enhancing the country’s ability to respond effectively and swiftly to this emerging challenge.

Defense sources noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Katz are jointly leading efforts with all security agencies and government ministries to formulate a comprehensive plan that will provide an immediate operational response to the drone threat. Additionally, enforcement and regulatory measures are being considered to enable faster and more efficient reactions to the evolving danger.
