Panelist Warns Ultra-Orthodox Against Long-Term Harm From Likud Support

During a broadcast of the Patriots program on Channel 14, panelist Yaki Edmakar shared his experience from a Haredi radio station where he warned listeners about the Likud party's treatment of the ultra-Orthodox community. Edmakar cautioned that although Likud might meet some demands of the Haredi sector in the short term, the party will ultimately "use and discard" them, causing long-term damage to future generations.

Edmakar recounted a recent hour-long segment on Kol Barama radio, where Haredi callers questioned his criticism of Likud, arguing that the party supports the needs of Torah study and yeshivas. In response, he explained that initial concessions would be temporary and that Likud’s pattern has been to exploit the community before abandoning it, resulting in generational harm.

He urged the Haredi public to "wake up" and recognize the broader consequences of their political support, emphasizing the importance of understanding the full picture beyond immediate benefits. Edmakar warned that the long-term implications of this relationship could be destructive for the community.
