Three Men Indicted for Armed Violence in Ongoing Clan Feud in Ar'ara

The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Ram Alouka (27), Sami Alouka (30), and Khaled Alouka (18), residents of Ar'ara in the Negev, for a series of weapons and violent offenses linked to a prolonged family feud. The indictment, submitted to the Beersheba District Court on January 17, 2026, alleges that the suspects armed themselves with guns and ammunition and covered their faces before joining a convoy of vehicles in the village. The convoy reportedly drove recklessly, including vehicle collisions, stone-throwing, and gunfire, prompting a police Yasam unit to initiate a pursuit.

During the chase, Ram Alouka allegedly fired from the vehicle at another car and at fleeing individuals near a suspected roadblock. He also pointed a gun at a police officer, who responded with gunfire until the vehicle stopped. All three suspects were arrested at the scene, but violence continued with stone-throwing and gunfire from multiple directions until reinforcements arrived. The driver fled amid the chaos, and Ram Alouka attempted to escape but was caught. Police recovered a handgun, two magazines, and ammunition, and Ram is accused of attempting to obstruct justice by discarding his face covering.

The indictment charges the three with carrying and transporting weapons, shooting from a vehicle, and endangering lives on a public road. Ram Alouka faces an additional charge of obstructing justice. Defense attorney Noga Kidar emphasized the suspects acted as an organized group, engaging in dangerous and violent behavior, highlighting the significant threat they pose. The court has been asked to detain the suspects until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
