IDF Commandos Take Spa Robes and Slippers from Lebanese Hotel During Operation

During an IDF operation in southern Lebanon, reservists from a commando brigade reportedly took spa robes, slippers, and toiletries from a four-star hotel used by Israeli forces. According to testimonies, the soldiers discovered a storage room containing these items, which were intended for hotel guests receiving spa treatments. Many soldiers took the robes and slippers as souvenirs, but the items were not taken home; instead, they were stored in a company equipment container.

The hotel served as a base for the forces during the operation, which included the destruction of a large underground drone airport beneath Majdal Zoun. The commando brigade received significant praise for their role in the western sector and for uncovering the hidden drone facility.

However, the IDF leadership expressed disapproval upon learning about the soldiers taking hotel property, prompting brigade commanders to initiate an investigation into the incident. The case highlights challenges hotels face worldwide with guests taking amenities as personal items, but the military is addressing the matter internally.
