Ayelet Linor Criticizes Naftali Bennett’s Women Quota as Not True Feminism

During a broadcast of the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14, panelist Ayelet Linor sharply criticized Naftali Bennett’s decision to add four more women to the "Together" party list. Linor argued that this move does not represent genuine feminism, emphasizing her belief that true feminism is based on meritocracy and equal opportunities rather than quotas or guaranteed outcomes.

Linor rejected attempts to redefine feminism for her, stating firmly that a group of men should not dictate what feminism means. She clarified her stance by saying, "Feminism is meritocracy. That’s how it should be. Not quotas, not research, not headlines about 17 women on the list that even they are not truly impressed by."

She further explained that true feminism means that if a woman is successful and knows her strengths, she should face no barriers. Linor concluded by stressing that feminism aims for equality of opportunity, not equality of results. This critique came shortly after Bennett’s announcement of the four additional women joining his party list, a move intended to promote gender representation in politics.
