Idan Raichel’s YouTube Channel Taken Down After Suspicious Activity
Idan Raichel’s official YouTube channel was removed after what mako described as “suspicious activity,” according to people familiar with the matter. When users search for Raichel on YouTube, they are now redirected to other channels, and anyone clicking the channel link sees a message saying it was removed because content was identified that violates YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
Sources close to Raichel said the suspicious activity appears to have violated YouTube’s terms, and they believe it may have been an attempted “channel hijacking.” In such cases, they said, the first step is to take the channel offline immediately.
Raichel’s team is in talks with YouTube to restore the channel. Raichel responded, “We have seen everything. The channel will return. I am not worried.”
