Two Suspects Arrested in Kseifa Murder, More Arrests Expected

Israeli police arrested two suspects in their 20s and 30s overnight between Thursday and Friday in connection with a deadly shooting in the Bedouin town of Kseifa. The shooting left one man critically wounded and another lightly injured; the critically wounded victim later died at Soroka Medical Center. Authorities seized a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects during the incident.

The police investigation began immediately after the shooting, with officers from the Rotem district collecting evidence and conducting intelligence operations to identify those involved. Following a situation assessment by Southern District Commander Chief Superintendent Haim Bublil, the case was assigned to the district's central unit for further investigation.

The suspects, residents of the Bedouin community, were apprehended by a joint force including Rotem district police, Arara and nearby town police stations, special forces units, and border police. Initial inquiries indicate the shooting stemmed from a criminal dispute between two factions of the same family. The suspects are undergoing further interrogation and are expected to appear at Beersheba Magistrate's Court, where police will seek to extend their detention. Authorities anticipate additional arrests as the investigation continues.
