National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir Claims Government Legal Adviser Ended Police Intervention Talks Unilaterally

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir responded to the Supreme Court regarding his involvement in police operations following the announcement by Government Legal Adviser Gali Baharav-Miara that attempts to reach an agreement had failed. Baharav-Miara informed the court that Ben-Gvir continues to intervene in police work despite the unsuccessful negotiations. In his reply, Ben-Gvir accused the Government Legal Adviser of unilaterally terminating the discussions by notifying the court without addressing the latest comments from his office. He stated that the adviser introduced new clauses unrelated to the agreed principles, aimed solely at restricting his authority and rendering his role ineffective.
