One month after the passing of Rabbi Amos Guetta, head of the Nachliel Yeshiva, Rabbi Yigal Shandorfi shared insights into Rabbi Guetta’s life and legacy. He described Rabbi Guetta as a deeply devoted spiritual leader who dedicated himself to helping individuals who struggled to find a place in other frameworks, often taking on the associated challenges personally. Rabbi Shandorfi suggested that the unusual circumstances of Rabbi Guetta’s death were connected to his lifelong mission of atonement and care for marginalized people, emphasizing that it was not a random event but part of his spiritual service.

Rabbi Shandorfi highlighted Rabbi Guetta’s exceptional Torah scholarship, noting his vast memorization of texts and his ability to correct Torah reading errors from memory. Alongside his public work, Rabbi Guetta was a learned scholar with broad knowledge. The Nachliel Yeshiva experienced significant positive developments during Rabbi Guetta’s lifetime, which Rabbi Shandorfi attributed to his blessings and prayers.
