Israeli Fighters Score First-Round and Second-Round Knockouts in Lima

Israeli fighters Nili Bloch and Sean Perou delivered a successful night in Lima, Peru, as an originally planned three-fight Israeli card was reduced to two after Kivdi Gordon’s bout was canceled. The event ended with Israeli fans celebrating in the crowd after Bloch and Perou each scored major wins by knockout.

Bloch was first into the cage for the opening MMA fight of her professional career, following a strong Muay Thai background. After a difficult first round in which she controlled Brazil’s Stephanie de Massedo, Bloch ended the bout in the second round with a powerful kick to her opponent’s head. It was a successful start to her professional MMA run.

Perou followed with a bout against Brazil’s Danilson Ribeiro. The Israeli veteran of the MMA scene needed less than a minute and a half to finish the fight with a knockout. The win improved Perou’s record to 8-1.

The result could strengthen Perou’s case for opportunities in major international promotions, especially given the manner in which he continues to defeat opponents.
