Israeli Fighters Score Two Stunning Knockouts in Lima
Israeli fighters Nili Block and Shon Paro delivered a dramatic double victory on Friday night at an MMA event in Lima, Peru, in front of a crowd that included many Israeli fans. What had been planned as a three-fighter Israeli card became a two-fight night after Khybdi Gordon’s bout was canceled, but it ended with celebrations and two early finishes.
Block opened the event in the first MMA fight of her career after a successful Muay Thai run. She controlled Brazilian opponent Stephanie de Massedo in a tough first round, then finished the bout in the second round with a powerful kick to the head. The win marked a strong start to her professional MMA career.
Paro followed with a more established MMA résumé and faced another Brazilian, Danilson Ribeiro. His fight ended in less than a minute and a half, as Paro scored a major knockout. The result improved his record to 8-1.
The report said Paro’s current form and the manner of his wins could draw attention from top international leagues.
