Clalit Health Services Continues Referrals to Gynecologist Amid Sexual Misconduct Complaints
Over the past four years, multiple women have filed complaints against Dr. Guy Bibi, a gynecologist working in Tel Aviv under Clalit Health Services, alleging inappropriate sexual behavior during medical examinations. Despite these serious allegations, Clalit continues to schedule patients with Dr. Bibi, with available appointments still open for August.
The complaints include disturbing incidents such as Dr. Bibi hugging a patient and pressing his face against her while she was partially undressed, and another case where he visited a patient's home to deliver contraceptive pills and kissed her. These accounts were previously reported in an investigative piece by Kan 11.
Clalit confirmed that Dr. Bibi underwent a hearing where he defended himself, and that the complaints were thoroughly investigated. The health fund is currently engaged in legal proceedings aimed at terminating his employment. Meanwhile, Dr. Bibi's lawyer, Eran Kaizman, stated that the authorized bodies within Clalit found no reason to stop referrals to him and emphasized that many patients appreciate his professional and dedicated care.
Patients and the public remain concerned as Clalit continues to allow Dr. Bibi to receive new patients despite ongoing legal processes and serious allegations of misconduct.
