Netanyahu Confirms Ongoing Contact with Haredi Daughter Amid Privacy Concerns

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed rumors of estrangement from his daughter Noa, who became religiously observant and lives in the Haredi neighborhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem. In a rare interview on Avi Shoshan's podcast, Netanyahu firmly denied claims of a complete rift, confirming that he maintains contact with Noa and that they meet occasionally despite his busy schedule and security constraints. He revealed they last spoke a few weeks ago and celebrate holidays together.

Netanyahu also confirmed that his Haredi grandchildren recognize him as their grandfather and see him during family occasions. He criticized the media for spreading false narratives about their relationship, calling it "an industry of lies." Regarding Noa's religious return, Netanyahu said he was aware of her decision and supported it, emphasizing that it was her choice and that it made her happy.

He explained his previous silence on the matter was at Noa's explicit request to protect her privacy, noting the difficulty of shielding family members from media scrutiny. Netanyahu stressed that respecting such privacy choices is common in families, especially when public attention is intense.
