Yossi Dagan Demands Iron Fist from Government After Terror Attack Near Elon Moreh
A fire broke out Thursday at the "Derech Avraham" farm near Elon Moreh, caused by arson committed by Palestinians from the village of Beit Furik. Dozens of volunteers, firefighting teams, security forces, and rapid response units were dispatched to control the blaze. During firefighting efforts, two terrorists attacked the personnel at the scene, stabbing a 51-year-old male volunteer in the chest, who was seriously injured and evacuated to the hospital for treatment.
Following the attack, security forces imposed a closure on Beit Furik and are conducting operations in the area. Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, arrived at the scene alongside security forces and condemned the incident as a severe terror attack. He accused the Palestinian Authority and terrorist organizations of incitement leading to such attacks and arson attempts.
Dagan called on the Israeli government to take a "iron fist" approach against terrorism and its instigators, emphasizing the resilience of the settlements in the Shomron region. He stated, "All Israeli citizens expect the government to crush terrorism and those who incite it. We will win. No matter how many terrorists there are, this is our land, and we will prevail."
