Tens of Thousands Expected in Safed for Annual Arizal Pilgrimage and Prayer Event

On the evening of the 5th of Av, tens of thousands of worshippers are expected to arrive in Safed to visit the tomb of the Arizal, one of the greatest Jewish mystics. At 11:00 PM, a special lighting and prayer ceremony for redemption will be held at the Arizal's gravesite, with the participation of Safed's chief rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, and other city rabbis. This event is a central part of the pilgrimage activities, which will draw thousands throughout the night.

In preparation for the pilgrimage, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi David Potash, and David Shoken held a discussion focusing on Kabbalistic teachings and the spiritual legacy of the Arizal, whose influence remains significant across the Jewish world today. The pilgrimage commemorates the Arizal's yahrzeit and serves as a major spiritual gathering in Safed, a city renowned for its Kabbalistic heritage.
