Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem tied 2:2 in Game 3, first quarter
Double Dribble, Episode 55 / Walla News
Game 3 of the playoff semifinal is being played now, Thursday, as Hapoel Tel Aviv hosts Hapoel Jerusalem at Menora Mivtachim Arena, knowing that another win will close out the series and send it to the final. Following the Supreme Court decision that accepted the appeal, Dimitris Itoudis's team holds a 0:2 lead and needs just one more victory to complete the sweep. Hapoel Tel Aviv want to use the momentum and their series lead to settle matters tonight, and have chosen to continue with the same roster that has played in recent games. Levi Randolph and Tai Odiase, who are in Israel, were not registered for the game, as were Dan Oturu and Antonio Blakeney, who are not in the country. The club hopes to continue receiving significant contributions from Vasilije Micic, Yam Madar and Chris Jones, who led the team in recent games.
On the other side, Hapoel Jerusalem enters a game that could be its last of the season. Yotam Alon’s team must win to keep its hopes alive and bring the series back to the Arena, and is continuing with the same roster from the previous game. In Jerusalem, they hope to get much more from Jared Harper, who struggled in the last game, and also need significant contributions from players such as Dimitri Scapinstev and the rest of the role players in order to avoid elimination and force a fourth game. Will the season end earlier than expected?
