US Expands Strikes on Iran as Israel Prepares for Possible Missile Attacks

The United States has informed Israel of plans to broaden its military strikes against Iran to include infrastructure and energy facilities. Concurrently, the US Central Command announced a new wave of attacks targeting the Iranian regime. Despite the escalation, Israeli officials assess that Iran is currently reluctant to directly engage the Israel Defense Forces in the ongoing conflict, though Israel is preparing for such a scenario. An Israeli source warned that any Iranian attack on Israel would incur a heavy price.

Jerusalem has identified two main triggers that could draw Israel into the conflict: a direct Iranian attack or a formal US request for Israel to join the strikes. Meanwhile, Iran has threatened to intensify missile fire if the US continues its escalation and has reportedly targeted Gulf states and US bases in the region. The White House stated that Iran remains interested in negotiations but accused Tehran of violating agreements.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently warned that Israel’s response to any Iranian attack would be significantly stronger. President Isaac Herzog expressed skepticism about trusting agreements with Iran but welcomed the US’s robust military response.
