Four-Year-Old in Bnei Brak Chokes on Coin, Condition Stable After Hospitalization

Medical teams from United Hatzalah were called to a home in Bnei Brak on Thursday evening following reports of a choking child. The child, approximately four years old, had swallowed a coin that became lodged in his airway. First responders, including paramedic and ambulance driver Israel Horvitz and medics from the 'Chod' unit, Shay Fisher and Meni Streicher, performed maneuvers to dislodge the coin and quickly transported the boy to Schneider Children's Medical Center in Petah Tikva. The child was experiencing mild respiratory distress but was reported to be in stable condition upon arrival at the hospital.

United Hatzalah emphasized the importance of keeping small or sharp objects out of reach of young children to prevent choking and injuries. They urged caregivers to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines to avoid unnecessary accidents.
