Zinedine Zidane Nears Appointment as France Coach with €300,000 Monthly Salary

Zinedine Zidane, the legendary former French midfielder and decorated coach, is close to being appointed as the new head coach of the French national football team. This move follows France's failure to reach the World Cup final, with the team set to play for third place. According to RMC, the French Football Federation aims to finalize Zidane's contract before July 21, with terms agreed but not yet signed.

Zidane is expected to earn around €300,000 per month, excluding bonuses, which could raise his total monthly income to approximately €450,000. His coaching staff is projected to include over 25 members, bringing his annual salary to at least €3.6 million. Although this is a significant investment for the federation, it remains lower than the salaries of Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel, who coach other national teams.

The former Real Madrid manager reportedly values a strong female presence within his management team, particularly in the data analysis department, highlighting the importance he places on this area. Zidane, who led France to their 1998 World Cup victory as a player, will be coaching a national team for the first time in his career. This appointment marks his return to coaching after a hiatus since 2021, following two separate tenures at Real Madrid.
