Adi Atzmi Explains Pride Parade to Her Daughter and Faces Backlash
Former reality star Adi Atzmi shared a video in which she explains the Pride Parade to her young daughter, in an effort to teach her to “accept everyone and love everyone,” but she was met with harsh criticism from followers.
Among the angry responses that accused her of exposing her child too early were remarks such as, “Talk about sexuality at that age? Let him live like a child.” Lilach Markovich, mako Published: 11.06.26, 18:01 | Updated: 11.06.26, 18:55 Photo: Instagram
Star of “The Amazing Race,” Adi Atzmi, simply wanted to convey an educational message to her daughter Daria, but she quickly found herself under attack in the comments. Atzmi shared a video in which she explains to her daughter about the Pride Parade, which is taking place in Tel Aviv next weekend.
In the video, Adi is seen patiently explaining: “The Pride Parade is that people who have different sexual orientations than ours, like homosexuals or lesbians... want to be proud of who they are, and they go out to celebrate love and celebrate life and celebrate the fact that they are not ashamed of who they are.”
Daria innocently asks whether, if they went there, it would be to say that they do not hate them, and Adi immediately confirms enthusiastically: “Exactly, my love. No one is different because of their sexual orientation.”
Adi continued and explained to her daughter that others should be accepted from a young age: “You have to ultimately accept everyone. Accept everyone and love everyone and not judge anyone by that.”
But it turns out not all followers connected with the message. Alongside supportive and embracing reactions to what Atzmi conveyed, she also took heavy fire from followers who were outraged by the very exposure of the child to the topic and to the “sexuality accompanying” the parade, in their view.
“Comfortable for you to talk about accepting differences when it’s a topic that will probably get you followers or is popular in your environment.” Another female user added angrily: “For the first time I do not agree with you, talking about sexuality at that age... you do not need to explain every little thing to a child, let him live like a child.”
Another especially sharp response attacked the nature of the parade itself: “Why does a person need to reveal their sexual orientation, and at the most disgusting parade, where everyone there is Sodom and Gomorrah... they do not show anything smart there except being naked and kissing there and being as conspicuous as possible in the most disrespectful way! What exactly does exposing small children to this parade contribute? What exactly does it contribute to your daughter? You should have talked to her about something more important, and that is loving herself.”
