Yael Bar Zohar Joins Channel 16 to Host New Morning Show

Channel 16 announced the addition of Yael Bar Zohar and Ilan Levy to its presenting team ahead of its launch. They will join Yaakov Ayalon, who has already begun hosting the main news broadcast as part of the new channel's rollout. According to Maariv, Bar Zohar will lead the channel's new morning segment, marking a shift from her previous roles in entertainment, talk, and current affairs programs on Channels 12 and 13. Channel 16 plans to start trial broadcasts on August 2, 2026. During the launch phase, the channel will implement an AI-based system called SAY16, which will allow viewers to provide feedback and influence programming schedules, content types, and even some graphic design elements. Bar Zohar expressed surprise at the new role, stating, "Who would have believed this would happen?"
