Naftali Bennett Rejects Palestinian Statehood and Land Concessions Amid Coalition Debate

Naftali Bennett, chairman of the "Bennett 2026" party, publicly opposed the establishment of a Palestinian state and the transfer of territory in response to comments by Democratic Union leader Yair Golan. Golan had claimed that even if Bennett became prime minister, he would be unable to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state, land concessions, or the closure of pre-military academies due to the coalition he would need to form.

Speaking at a conference in Petah Tikva on Tuesday evening, Bennett dismissed Golan's assertions, stating, "Everyone can say what they want. My position is very clear." He emphasized, "I will not allow the establishment of a Palestinian state, I will not allow the transfer of land." Bennett also added, "I will not allow the closure of education. Everyone can make their noise, but you have seen what we are doing, and we will focus on that."
