Barak Abramov Linked to Crime Conflict Amid Violence at Beitar Jerusalem Owner’s Stores
Barak Abramov, owner of the Beitar Jerusalem football club, is reportedly linked to an ongoing violent conflict between two crime organizations, Mosli and Jarushi, according to Eli Senior, a police correspondent for Channel 13 News. The recent wave of violence has targeted branches of the Jafnika supermarket chain, owned by Abramov, with incidents including grenade attacks and arson across Israel.
Senior explained in a 103FM sports program interview that although Abramov has not committed any crimes and is currently not in Israel, he is "intelligence-wise" associated with the Jarushi faction. This association has drawn him into the conflict, which centers on a large financial dispute involving cryptocurrency. The violence escalated from an initial grenade attack in southern Tel Aviv to assaults on wholesale markets linked to the Mosli family, and now to Jafnika stores.
Despite the severity of the attacks, Senior described the conflict as "controlled," occurring mostly at night with few casualties, though he warned it could escalate further if someone is physically harmed. He emphasized that Abramov is not a suspect and has not been involved in the violence, but his connection to one side of the feud makes him a target. The supermarket franchisees are considered innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
Senior also noted the economic damage to Abramov is significant but reassured Beitar Jerusalem fans that the violence is confined to criminal groups and does not pose a direct threat to the club or its supporters. The situation remains volatile, and without intervention from a third party, the conflict is unlikely to end soon.
