Two Teens Arrested for Throwing Fragmentation Grenade in South Tel Aviv Parking Lot
On the night of July 14, 2026, around 2:30 a.m., police received a report of an explosion on Anatbi Street in southern Tel Aviv. Officers from the Sar-T station, Border Police fighters from the central district, and bomb disposal experts from Tel Aviv arrived at the scene to collect evidence, gather testimonies, and search for suspects. Initial investigation revealed that a fragmentation grenade was thrown into a parking lot, causing damage to several parked vehicles.
The search expanded towards Bnei Brak, where police located two suspects aged 17 and 19 riding a scooter. Both are residents of the Gush Dan area. During a search of the scooter, officers found a knife. The two suspects were arrested and taken for questioning at the Sar-T police station.
Police stated that based on the investigation findings, they will request to extend the suspects' detention in court.
