Religious Singer Tair Amram Shmuel Impresses Judges on Israel's Next Star Auditions

Tair Amram Shmuel, a 22-year-old from Moshav Bekoach, opened the audition phase of the Israeli singing competition "HaKochav HaBa" with a powerful rendition of "Pain of Warriors" by Idan Amadi. Her performance included a unique Arabic segment, adding emotional depth and distinctiveness. Amram Shmuel, who grew up in a religious family and served in the Border Police military band, described music as central to her life and her calling.

The performance moved all four judges to turn their chairs, with Idan Reichal notably shedding tears. After receiving high praise, she chose to join the team of singer Eden Ben Zaken for the next stages of the competition. Prior to performing, Amram Shmuel spoke about the challenges she faces as a religious woman pursuing music, addressing criticism she receives for singing publicly. She also highlighted that her faith does not conflict with her musical ambitions, noting her decision to serve as a combat soldier in the Border Police and join its military band.
