Shlomi Shabat Moved to Tears During The Voice Rehearsals

During rehearsals for the reality singing competition "The Voice" on Israel's Channel 13, contestant performance by Tair and Osher, mentored by Eden Ben Zaken, deeply moved judge Shlomi Shabat to tears. The emotional rendition of Zehava Ben's song "Lailot BaBayit" (Nights at Home) left everyone speechless.

Osher, one of the contestants, expressed initial insecurity about her lack of professional experience compared to other participants, who had released albums and performed at events. However, she stated her belief that singing comes from the heart and approached the competition with confidence.

Shabat's visible emotion during the rehearsal was noted by fellow judge Eden Ben Zaken, who pointed out his tears. Osher also reacted to Shabat's emotional response, saying, "Shlomi, stop." Ben Zaken summarized the moment as "exciting."

This is not the first time the show has elicited strong emotions. Previously, mentor Idan Raichel was moved to tears by contestant Mai Miller's performance of Natan Alterman's "Shmri Nafshach" (Guard Your Soul). Raichel reflected on the song's meaning and the context of living in Israel, a "disaster-stricken country."

The show also features lighthearted moments among the judges, such as Amir Daddoun joking that Idan Raichel always looks like he is suffering, to which Raichel good-naturedly replied, "It's built-in."
