Netanyahu Strongly Criticizes New York Mayor Zorhan Mamdani Over Israel and US Stance

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharply criticized New York City Mayor Zorhan Mamdani in an interview on Monday, condemning his positions on Israel and the groups he supports. Speaking with conservative radio host Sid Rosenberg, who is close to US President Donald Trump, Netanyahu linked Mamdani's attitude toward Israel with his stance on the United States.

When asked about Mamdani's threat to arrest Netanyahu if he visits New York, Netanyahu said he was not afraid. He emphasized that Mamdani should reconsider whom he condemns and supports, noting that Mamdani criticizes Israel, "the only democracy standing shoulder to shoulder with American values and fighting alongside the brave US soldiers."

Netanyahu also accused Mamdani of supporting Hamas and Iran instead of condemning them. He described Hamas as openly calling for the slaughter of Jews worldwide and responsible for the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. He called Iran "the greatest terror regime on earth," highlighting its calls for harm against President Trump and other US officials. Netanyahu concluded that Mamdani either does not understand or does not care that those who hate Jews and Israel ultimately hate America as well, asserting, "I think he secretly hates America." Rosenberg responded, "I'm not sure it's secret anymore."
